There are many gifts a painting can offer––the feelings it stirs in you, the mood and energy it can bring to a room, the unexpected journey it can take you on.

I paint to live inside that journey.

When you look at my paintings your eyes will glimpse what lies beneath––the subtle, excavated layers hinting of mysteries that are whispered, not fully stated. The elusiveness of memory and longing and hope. The past bleeding into the present. The raw beauty in joy and grief.

As you take in my art I think you will bend toward stillness.  A space will open for a gentle quickening, an unnameable feeling. A moment of deepening and uplift.
